As we know such disasters can be frightening and very stressful, Florida Business Development Corporation is committed in ensuring you have all the updated information necessary to assist in the recovery and success of your business.

The below information has been obtained from the SBA website located at www.sba.gov . I do encourage you to go to the website and review the information on the top right of the site labeled Hurricane Helene – Need help after Helene? Learn about SBA disaster assistance. The SBA is providing assistance to those in need and will also assist with the application process.

We will continue to share information as received to ensure you are up to date on any efforts provided to assist your business and make the recovery efforts as painless as possible. Types of Available Disaster Loans

Home Disaster Loans: Loans to homeowners or renters to repair or replace disaster-damaged real estate and personal property, including automobiles.
Business Physical Disaster Loans: Loans to businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property owned by the business, including real estate, inventories, supplies, machinery and equipment. Businesses of any size are eligible. Private, non-profit organizations such as charities, churches, private universities, etc., are also eligible.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL): Working capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster
recovery period.
